An offseason of love for Joe Bachie and Kenny Willekes is getting more loveier. (loving? lovinger? full of love?)
Conjugations aside, Bachie and Willekes were both named preseason All-Americans by CBS Sports. The standout defenders were both first-team selections, giving Michigan State as many first-team selections as the entire rest of the Big Ten had combined.
It has certainly been a deserved preseason of recognition for the two. Both were recently named in Pro Football Focus’ top 50 college football players rankings. They’re both preseason All-Big Ten. And they’re both on a bunch of preseason award watch lists.
Last season both were named first-team All-Big Ten and Willekes won the Defensive Lineman of the Year Award for the conference.
We all knew this already, but there are big expectations on these two as they look to finish their noteworthy MSU careers strong with big senior seasons.
