Joe Aribo latest as Rangers and Celtic 'set' to battle over Charlton midfielder

Rangers have stepped up their interest in Celtic target Joe Aribo - according to a report.

The in-demand Charlton midfielder has been linked with Celtic and a number of English clubs are believed to be on his trail.

He's set to weigh up several options before deciding his next move, with his contract at The Valley expiring this summer.

But Steven Gerrard has firmed up his interest by opening talks with the 22-year-old, according to The Daily Mail , while Celtic have yet to firm up their intentions.

Aston Villa, Southampton and Eintracht Frankfurt have all been linked with potential offers.
