Chelsea assistant manager Jody Morris has said that striking duo Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud are both still 'valuable' to the club amid speculation that they could be set for a move away from Stamford Bridge during the January window.
Both have found game time hard to come by so far this season, with Tammy Abraham establishing himself as firm first-choice striker under Frank Lampard.
The lack of game time for both has led to speculation that they will not be at the club by the end of the window, with Aston Villa making a loan enquiry for Batshuayi.
However, Morris, who was speaking ahead of the FA Cup game with Nottingham Forest says that they will not let the duo go unless they get replacements in.
"He still plays for Chelsea," the Chelsea assistant head coach said of Batshuayi. "We can't just let players walk out the door if we're going to be short somewhere.
"We need to look at individuals but he's been a class act and top professional. I don't envisage there being any problems in that regard.
"Everyone is valuable. We've viewed every single player as a valuable asset. Never know what can happen with injuries or form."
The Blues have been linked with moves for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele and RB Salzburg man Timo Werner.
