Jody Morris is back at Chelsea as Frank Lampard's assistant head coach.
The pair teamed up to guide Derby County to the Championship play-off final in Lampard's first season as a manager, and they have now taken up the reins at Stamford Bridge.
Whilst Morris penned an emotional Instagram message to Rams supporters upon joining Lampard, he hadn't addressed the Chelsea fans.
Until now..
"It's an amazing feeling to be back," he told Chelseafc.com . "This is my club, it's the team I supported as a boy and I was lucky enough to go through the ranks as an eight-year-old to then play for Chelsea.
"Obviously the five years I had working in the Academy were amazing but after leaving for Derby last year, to come back now really does feel like I’ve come home."
Morris also revealed why Chelsea fans should be excited about the future under Lampard.
"When Lamps, or the gaffer as I should say, signed for Chelsea originally we became really good mates," Morris added. "I roomed with him on his first pre-season trip and we’ve remained close ever since.
"We always spoke about working together if he went into management and we really enjoyed last season at Derby.
"Now we are here at Chelsea and it feels amazing.
"I’ve seen first-hand how Frank can galvanise a place, he brought the fans and the club together at Derby, and the way the place was united throughout the club was largely down to how Frank went about his way as a manager.
"It was a joy to watch and I’m looking forward to working with the players we have here at Chelsea, some really talented guys and a lot of exciting young players too.
"It feels amazing to be back here now."
