Channel 5 has released its first look at Jodie Turner-Smith as Anne Boleyn in its new drama.
The Queen & Slim actor is set to portray the second wife of Henry VIII in three-part psychological drama Anne Boleyn, which explores the final months of her life from a feminist perspective.
Following widespread excitement about the casting, which marks one of the few times a Black actor has played a royal figure on UK TV, fans were treated to a first teaser clip showing Turner-Smith as Boleyn.
In the clip shared to Twitter on Wednesday (7 April), the actor star is shown walking through the royal court in traditional dress.
A first image was also shared with Variety, showing Boleyn and Henry VIII (played by Mark Stanley) looking close.
