Jodie Comer has quit social media after being trolled.
The Killing Eve actress, 27, confessed she has to take a break until she gets "self-control" not to actively seek out the dark side of social media.
Her latest controversial role will see her take to the screen as a soft porn actress in the remake of Talking Heads.
On screen, she becomes the character of Lesley who was previously played by Julie Walters in 1988 original.
It's almost been two months since her last Instagram post was shared on May 10.
The last Twitter retweet was posted on June 25 but it had been almost a month since she posted prior to that on May 30.
Jodie admitted in her social media blackout she was trying to be "conscious" of what she uses the platforms for.
She told OK magazine : "Until I get some self-control and manage not to go and seek out negative things on social media, I think it's best for me to take a little step back.
"Also now, in this time, I am trying to be a little bit conscious of what I use it for."
Also, the award-winning star admitted it felt "wrong" doing "self-promotion" at the moment amid the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.
She elaborated: "It feels a bit wrong to me to be doing any sort of self-promotion at the moment, so I'm trying to be a little bit wary of that, while also being communicative and speaking to people. It's something I'm figuring out - it's a tricky thing."
Her Instagram platform has built up a fan base of 1.5million.
Jodie has more than 3,700 people tune in to read her tweets.
She rocketed into the limelight with her leading role in Killing Eve in 2018.
