A new year means new beginnings and for some this could mean a different job.

The past two years have been up and down due to the covid pandemic, with people being forced to work from again just recently.

It could mean the pandemic has opened your eyes that you want to start afresh and this could be in the form of new employment.

We have put together a list of jobs in Liverpool that could kickstart an exciting new career in 2022.

It is always advisable to apply early as some vacancies are withdrawn early if the employer is inundated with applications.

Train Driver

Freightliner is looking for a new train driver to join it's Garston team.

It is full time and the company said it is "competitive pay" and has "excellent benefits".

Chemotherapy Support Worker

Clatterbridge Hospital is looking for a chemotherapy support worker in Liverpool.

The full time job entails providing support to registered nurses and other staff to deliver nursing care and treatment within the out-patient chemotherapy environment and includes the chemotherapy network clinics.

The chemotherapy support worker role also involves the undertaking of clerical duties; providing hands-on care, assistant and emotional support to patients and their relatives; performing phlebotomy, perform observations T.P.R. BM urinalysis and to monitor blood transfusions patients, record observations and maintain documentation.

The job description said: "Excellent communication skills are essential and cannulation experience is desired.

"The successful candidate should have efficient computer skills to ensure that patients are correctly clerked and details inputted are accurate.

"The main skills that will achieved through training are access of central venous access devices. General healthcare duties include supporting patients and caring for them and their ADLs."

Salary: £20,330 - £21,777 a year.

PA to Senior Team

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a PA to support the director of operations and senior leadership. Team.

The successful candidate will work within the Liverpool Clinical Laboratories Corporate Team that includes the Customer Care Team (CCT), the Workforce Team (WFT) and Business Administration Team (BAT). All are essential support services that we provide.

The job description states: "Working within our service as a personal assistant you will need demonstrable experience of working as a personal assistant at executive director or senior level.

"You should have exceptional communication, engagement and organisational skills, which will equip you to working closely with our Director of Operations and senior managers; supporting their diverse portfolios.

"This is a diverse and busy role that requires energy, enthusiasm and commitment. Workload management and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

"Having the energy, drive, optimism and determination to meet all of the challenges ahead will be as vital as bringing sound knowledge of best practice to Liverpool Clinical Laboratories."

Salary: £22,549 to £24,882 a year

At the National Museums Liverpool it is hiring for a schools, young people and adults lead.

In this job you will be part of the senior team and will lead on the strategic development of programme sand activities for schools, young people and adults who are in formal or alternative education provision.

For this role you, the company wants someone who is "passionate", it said: "We want someone to join our senior management team who is passionate about creating environments where children, young people and adults can participate in and co-create cultural experiences to discover the wonder of our museums and galleries."

Merseyside Police is looking for an intelligence analyst to join the force.

The job description states the police force wants someone to "efficiently and effectively deliver intelligence research".

It added it wanted it by: "Using a range of analytical techniques and a dynamic problem solving approach, to strategically and tactically direct police resources to tackle and mitigate threat, risk and harm, protect vulnerable people and keep communities safe."

Merseyside Police is also hiring for laboratory officer

The job purpose said: "To maximise the effectiveness of forensic evidence through the examination of items for friction ridge detail, DNA and Trace Evidence."

The job role includes examining items within the laboratory and as requested, at crime scenes.

Salary: £23,817 - £26,016

Facilitator

The Ministry of Justice is hiring for a facilitator.

The job holder will deliver a range of group based interventions which include assessment, group and individual treatment and provides support in the psychology department/interventions function in the delivery of services within prison.

According to the job description, the job holder will need to have excellent skills in dealing with people. They will need to understand the theory underpinning the interventions that they deliver and be committed to rehabilitation.

Therapy Assistant

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is hiring for a Therapy Assisstant.

Therapy assistants work alongside clinicians assisting patients in their rehabilitation and recovery across many areas.

The Therapy services cover clinical areas including: - acute medicine/surgery including A&E, rehabilitation unit, neurology , orthopaedics (including limb reconstruction), musculoskeletal, critical care, rheumatology, gastrointestinal surgery.

Training will also be provided.
