After an unprecedented 18 months, life in Wales is finally returning to some sort of normality.
With the vast majority of things open again, it is a welcome relief to see job adverts reappearing. And, with so many people currently searching for a new job, we've put together a list of some of the roles we've found advertised across Newport.

Pharmacy Assistant
JDS Evans Pharmacy is looking for a skilled or a trainee pharmacy dispenser to join its team in Pill.
The job description says that the role will involve labelling and dispensing, administrative prescription duties, taking telephone prescription orders, serving customers, and stock management, and applicants are advised that IT skills are essential to apply.
The job is permanent and offers up to 35 hours per week.

Bakery D Gibbon & Sons Ltd is currently looking for a bakery assistant to join their team.
The role will be helping out with bread and rolls and the successful applicant would need to be able to start immediately.
Experience is an advantage, however training will be provided on the job.

Spa Receptionist
If you fancy taking on a role at the Celtic Manor, the luxury hotel and resort is currently on the look out for a spa receptionist.
Applicants will need to be qualified to NVQ level 3, and ideally have experience with Elemis spa treatments (although this isn't essential).

Charity Women's Aid is looking for women to join its team on a part-time basis as a group worker for three years.
The successful applicant would be assisting Women's Aid in remodelling refuge and support services in Newport, broadening the accommodation options for women and creating better pathways for women experiencing multiple disadvantages and barriers.

Specsavers is looking for an optical assistant to take on an apprenticeship with them in their Newport branch.
The role is aimed at recent school leavers or those looking for a new challenge, and applicants are asked to have both GSCE Maths and English at grade C or above.
The job involves welcoming customers, booking in eye tests, pre-screening patient, providing style advice, measuring frames, and taking phone calls.

Costa in Spytty is on the search for a barista to start at the end of August with no prior experience required.

Housing association Pobl is searching for a ranger to be responsible for undertaking environmental maintenance repairs on its estates.
The role will involve tasks including graffiti removal, fly tipping removal, ground works and invasive weed treatment. The candidate will also be a front-line representative of Pobl, dealing directly with tenants on occasion.
Pobl is looking for someone who has experience within social housing maintenance, and a driving license is essential for the role.

Applicants are asked to have experience within the hospitality sector or similar and solid customer service experience. In return, by the end of your training you will be "an expert" over 100 different cocktails.

GAME is currently searching for a part-time sales assistant to join its team. The successful candidate is expected to deliver excellent customer service at all times, build relationships with customers, and keep up to date with the latest gaming news.
