Jobs up for grabs in Ruddington as software firm announces global expansion plan

Jobs are up for grabs as a software developer which offers products to help keep school pupils safe creates 30 new jobs.

Impero, which has an office at Ruddington Fields Business Park, is searching for software developers, sales workers and marketing professionals, with positions available in Nottinghamshire and in Austin, Texas.

The company's software is used by 30 percent of UK secondary schools and the global expansion comes after it secured record renewal rates across all its markets, including the UK.

CEO Justin Reilly, who was appointed in July, said: "I have spent the first few months getting to know the business and working alongside my new colleagues to think disruptively about what our customers need and how we will innovate in the EdTech space.

"I have enjoyed listening to our Impero customers, working alongside them to hash out some of these ideas and understand how the education landscape is evolving."

Impero provides educational software to schools and combines classroom and network management and student safety tools to manage devices in classrooms. The products are also designed to monitor wellbeing.

The company's software is now used on more than two million devices and with the business set to achieve year-on-year growth by the end of 2019, bosses want to continue the upward trajectory.

Mr Reilly added: “We’ve recognised the changes we need to make to ensure we can best support the growth that we’re seeing and to deliver a fantastic customer experience and roadmap regardless of geography or customer type.

"With this in mind, we’ve restructured our teams and are now actively recruiting to ensure we have the capacity and skills required to deliver as we grow."

The company is not the only one creating work in Nottinghamshire.

LSL Land and New Homes, a sister company of estate agency groups including Your Move, recently relocated one of its core business divisions to Aspect Business Park in Nottingham.

The PX Hub provides part exchange and assisted move services to house builders and it is looking to add eight new members of staff to the office. The jobs on offer will be customer service roles.

Abi Culley, operations manager for the PX Hub, said: "It demonstrates our determination to make our PX Hub the go to’ place for house builders who are looking for part exchange and assisted move support and to increase employment opportunities within Nottingham.”
