Jobs top ten: Opportunities to work overseas

Kicking us off at 10, the St Helena Government is looking for a project manager

So, do you know much about St Helena? Nope, me neither. It's a rather fascinating place though, I've since discovered. An overseas territory of the UK, it's a mere 47 square miles in the southern Atlantic, found roughly 1,700 miles away from Cape Town. Your task, when you get there, will be lead a team which is working with others to deliver an airport to the island. The person picked for this role will work as the key link between the St Helena government and the airport project, with duties including keeping the public up-to-date with progress and drawing up a strategy for provision of commercial freight services. It sounds like a good opportunity to get involved in something which have a huge impact on life on St Helena, as apparently it is hoped visitors will jump from around 1,000 to up to 30,000 per year once the airport is up and running.

At 9 Atwood Tate is looking for junior editors to work in Beirut

Jobs for graduates in the sought after publishing industry? It sounds to good to be true, going by the experiences of Careers regulars who have struggled to get a foot in the door of this competitive sector. Your eyes don't deceive you, though. There are four places on offer here to gain experience within the Middle East's largest educational publishing group. You'll work in their Lebanon office, editing text books for the group's growing maths and science list. This role will include copy-editing and proofreading manuscripts and revising texts, as well as liaising with designers and colleagues in production.

And at 8 - places on the TUI Travel specialist and activity graduate development programme

Another graduate role here, and this time it looks like you'll be packing your suitcase more than once. This 18-month programme is made up of three month assignments across different company divisions, including the specialist holidays group, marine, education and North American specialist - both in the UK and internationally. Unsurprisingly, then, the company is seeking people with an active interest in travel. They also want applicants with the confidence to develop into a future senior manager, so it sounds like a good opportunity if you've got your eye on climbing the ladder in the travel industry.

Another graduate scheme here, and this time the focus is on investment banking. It kicks off with five weeks of product and technical training in London, where you will participate in technical courses, workshops, e-learning and case studies designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge the world of investment banking. That'll be from German, French and occasionally Spanish into British English. You'll also be proofreading various documents and reports. The University of Luxembourg is looking for a scientific journalist at 3

Pipped to the post at 2, The British School in the Netherlands wants a physics teacher

I'd imagine if you are a teacher, it's pretty fantastic to have a classroom full of children who are really into the subject you teach. It certainly sounds like it'll be the case here, as the physics department has achieved 100% A* to C at GCSE level for the past three years and more than 40% A*/A/B in A-level Physics in the previous two. Not too shabby, eh? You'll be based in The Hague in the Netherlands.

And topping the chart this week is English teacher roles from the British Council

British Council Tunis wants a degree in any subject, a TEFL certificate (CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL) and two years experience of teaching EFL to adults, preferably outside your home nation.
