Jobs in Dublin: The Irish Coast Guard is hiring watch officers and the pay is very inviting

The Irish Coast Guard is looking to hire watch officers and the pay isn’t too bad either.

The roles would include watch-keeping on the emergency frequency and acting as Marine Alert, Notification and/or Search and Rescue (SAR) Mission Coordination Officer (SMC).

The pay scale for the position is €30,578 - €56,958 per annum.

Successful applicants will be placed in Marine Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Dublin, Marine Rescue Sub Centre (MRSC) Valentia, Co. Kerry and MRSC Malin Head, Co. Donegal.

New entrants will also have to undergo basic training and induction in the Irish Coast Guard Headquarters in Leeson Lane, Dublin 2 and at a designated training centre such as the National Maritime College Ireland (NMCI), Cork.

Closing date for the submission of applications is 3 pm on April 30.
