Jobs in Dublin: Camile Thai announces 300 positions as they open new locations around capital

Camile Thai has ambitious 2021 plans as they have confirmed they are recruiting 300 staff and opening in 15 new locations.

Of these roles, 220 are set to be based in Ireland with several roles available including retail, business development, marketing, sales, and cookery.

The 15 new locations will be across Ireland and the UK with some Dublin locations including The Point Village and the new Frascati Centre in Blackrock.

Other set-ups around the country will be in Waterford, Mayo and Cork.

Brody Sweeney, Founder, Camile Thai Kitchen said: “Despite an extremely difficult year for the hospitality sector, for Camile 2020 has seen rapid growth.

"Our suburban, delivery focussed model has proven to be pandemic proof in the last eleven months, not least in terms of revenue and sales.

"This has enabled us to not only push forward with our aggressive expansion plans, but also to prematurely move ahead with our main goal - our tech pivot."

Camile is also planning to raise €10 million as part of its plans to progress with a technology-centric strategy.

The chain was the first in Europe to deliver its menu by drone. The delivery system would allow customers to pick a landing area around their home, such as a patio or driveway.

They also have plans to automate its kitchen operations with robotics in 2021.

Sweeney explained: “Our raison d’etre is delivering guilt-free, delicious takeaways - but for us, we see tech playing such an incremental role in terms of food preparation, but also UX and of course, delivery.”

Camile is to push forward with its “franchise as a service” venture in 2021 too.

During the pandemic, the chain offered flexible franchise options for business owners with well-located, but underused kitchens in restaurants, bars and hotels.

This helped them continue to operate despite the lockdown restrictions.
