Job paying €107,000 a year lets you work when you want but there's one catch

A job has said it can pay €107,000 a year and that you can travel and work wherever you want, however, there is one catch.

It is asking for an offshore rigger, in the North Sea, based off the coast of Aberdeen in Scotland, The Mirror reported.

These massive rigs drill wells, extract and process both natural gas and oil, and subsequently store it before use.

Stints on the rig range between one to six months and workers will receive £367 (€412) a day for a 12-hour shift on the rig.

One weeks sick cover and holiday pay listed at £39 (€44) per day, were advertised on the job role.

Total earnings per annum could accumulate up to £95,420 (€107,000) overall.

The role also says that there are "various dates and trips available".

While the employer was not listed it is believed they are a strong leader in the world energy market.

Safety and technical training such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training), CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System), and OGUK Medical training are all requirements for the role.

A total of five candidates are due to be hired for the high-earning role.

Offshore rig work has time and time again been described as one of the most dangerous professions.

One ex-oil rigger of 17 years told the Daily Mirror in the UK that it was a "monstrous" and an "isolating experience."
