Job: Custom Content Coordinator

USA TODAY Sports Media Group allows advertisers to engage with sports fans using custom digital executions across display, mobile, video, and social media.
Role Description: Our sports team is looking for a motivated contributor to craft custom and sponsored content across our owned and operated sites, and project manage items the USA Today Ad Meter franchise (https://admeter.usatoday.com/). The custom content coordinator needs to understand advertiser custom content strategies and work independently to accomplish advertiser objectives and drive audience engagement. This is an independent contractor role.
Duties include:
• Work closely with marketing and sales on branded and sponsored initiatives
• Write and post content, including headlines, photos and videos
• Edit stories to meet editorial standards
• Work with social media editors to post content with the correct branding
• Juggle multiple priorities and manage deadlines around several sports initiatives
• Build editorial galleries and articles around various sports
• Coordinate with brand partners to ensure partner ads are integrated into the annual Ad Meter program
• Draft blog posts about Super Bowl advertising news, covering topics such as advertisers, ad rates, ad trends, and news about celebrities starring in SB commercials.
Related Experience and Abilities:
• Two or more years of experience in digital media
• Available throughout week and some weekends based on tentpole sporting events calendar
• Familiarity with WordPress CMS functionality
• Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Photoshop skills a plus
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, adaptable, and flexible under stress and tight deadlines
• Knowledge or willingness to learn the year-round sports calendar for key events
• Effective and efficient communication skills
• A team player, willing and able to collaborate with a dynamic team
• Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and take initiative to solve problems as they arise
