The PA understands the company is proposing a “headcount reduction” of five at the Perthshire site.

The company is also proposing to introduce an across-the-board staff salary reduction until at least mid-2021 with regular reviews.

Changes to some working patterns on an individual basis could also be implemented.

A spokesperson said the proposals were because of the global coronavirus pandemic.

They said: “These proposals have been introduced as a result of the financial impact of COVID-19 on Highland Spring Group and to support the long-term sustainability of the company.

“All staff will be fully supported through the consultation process over the coming weeks.”
