
There are very few people that like being in a job interview situation. A lot of preparation is needed, it's nerve-wracking and there is a lot riding on you managing to impress them.
Once you've done the interview you'll no doubt feel very relieved. You may feel like all the hard work is over, and you can finally relax until you hear back from the hiring manager.
But it turns out there's something you can do straight after your job interview that could increase your chances of being hired.
Job expert Richard McMunn has claimed you should send an email right after you finish the interview.

In a video shared with his 3.2 million followers on TikTok, Richard explained: "As soon as you get home from your job interview, send the following email to the hiring manager.

Richard recommends sending an email with the following forwarding:
"Dear sir/madam,
Thank you for the opportunity to be interviewed for the position today with your company.
I thoroughly enjoyed the process and learning more about your organisation.
If you need any further information to help you make a decision please don't hesitate to get in touch."
Richard added: "If you send that email, the hiring manager will definitely be impressed."
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on the interview technique, with mixed reactions.
One person said: "This will help me in the future."
Another commenter added: "This guy was part of the reason why I got my job. I appreciate your efforts."
A third added: "I'm doing this after my next interview."
A fourth said: "I do this but always one week after the interview. Have had great success with it."
However, others thought there was no need to follow up with an email after an interview, and that it could give the wrong impression.
One person said: "I think it's too much. Do you an interview, answer all their queries, the ball is now on their side."
Another claimed: "Hmm. As a hiring manager I'd be cautious doing this. Sounds too eager and desperate. Red flags."
