Job cuts planned for Irish Independent titles

Independent News & Media (IN&M) is preparing to announce a major cost-cutting and redundancy plan to staff at its three main newspaper titles in Dublin. The company chaired by Tony O'Reilly, which also owns the Independent titles in Britain, is to brief editorial staff at the Irish Independent, Sunday Independent and Evening Herald later this week.
