Joao Felix speaks out about Man Utd and Man City transfer links

Manchester City and Manchester United summer target Joao Felix has insisted he will let “things happen naturally” regarding his future at Benfica.

The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in the world and is attracting the interest of Europe's biggest teams.

Juventus and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the teenager, who scored 15 league goals and provided seven assists for Benfica as they won the Primeira Liga title.

He also netted a hat-trick during Benfica's 4-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.

And he has now opened up on his future, seemingly keeping potential suitors on red alert by refusing to rule out a move elsewhere this summer.

"I think that time will tell. I'm good here, I'm very happy, I love the club," he told Benfica's official website .

"I adore these fans who adore me. I want to enjoy the moment, play ball, have fun doing what I like, and then, over time, things happen naturally. I am very happy in Benfica”

Any move for Felix, whose current contract has a release clause of £105m, will need to have the blessing of Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira.

And the highly-rated youngster has revealed he has a good relationship with the club chief.

"The relationship is very good, he always makes me feel at ease," he said.

"We have been talking a lot in recent times, he has cherished me a lot, he likes me very much.

“He says he treats me like a son, and I believe he does. He's a great person and I really like him too."
