Joao Felix snubs Roberto Firmino in triple 'dangerous' Liverpool claim

Liverpool return to Champions League action tonight and are out for revenge with a trip to face Atletico Madrid.

The Reds were knocked out of the competition by Diego Simeone's side in the round of 16 in 2019/20 as they were beaten 4-2 on aggregate.

Liverpool are in fine form after beating Watford 5-0 in the Premier League on Saturday and all three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane were on the scoresheet.

Despite scoring his second hat-trick for the club at Vicarage Road, Firmino was overlooked by Atletico's Joao Felix when discussing Liverpool's attacking threat.

"We expect a strong team. As we all know. It's Liverpool," the 21-year-old told the ¡Qué Golazo! podcast and CBS Sports.

"They are a great team, especially their attack, which is very good, but we are prepared for them and we will do our best to win.

"Mohamed Salah is dangerous, Sadio Mane is dangerous, [Diogo] Jota is dangerous.

"In the backline, they are dangerous too so it will be a difficult game."

The Brazilian has already scored six goals in all competitions this season and is in arguably his best form of recent times and he'll have a point to prove on Tuesday night.

Despite Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'disliking' Atletico Madrid's style of play, Felix believes there are plenty of similarities between the two clubs as the Reds prepare to return to the Wanda Metropolitano.

"The passion, I think, is the same [as Atleti]," he continued.

"It's a little bit different in Anfield because the people are closer to the pitch, but the passion is the same."
