Joao Felix drops future Premier League transfer hint after sealing £112m Atletico Madrid move

Atletico Madrid's big summer signing Joao Felix has indicated a desire to play in the Premier League at some point during his career.

The 19-year-old has just completed his £112million (€124.6m) move to the Spanish capital from Primeira Liga champions Benfica.

Felix had been strongly linked with numerous clubs on the European stage before his move to the Los Rojiblancos was completed, with Man United and Man City both reportedly interested in a move for the striker.

However, a move to the Wanda Metropolitano was sealed and Felix becomes Atleti's new number 7 after Antoine Greizmann left to join Barcelona this summer.

During an AMA with Bleacher Report , the senior capped Portugal international was asked which of other the European leagues (other than Primeira Liga and La Liga) he would like to play in over the course of his career, he simply replied "Premier League."

He was also asked for his thoughts on a move to north London club Spurs, to which he replied: "Me, to Spurs? [Right] now that's impossible, but I don't know, [maybe] one day."

Despite first team football being a must for Felix, his feet are placed on the ground and to improve as an individual is at the top of his list.

"I don't really care about [my price-tag] or the money, I just want to be playing and I just want to get my job done. That's the most important thing.

"It's a dream come true to be playing with Atletico, one of the best teams in Europe and the world. I'm very happy.

"I don't have any problems with pressure, it's my job. I have to know how to handle that."
