Joao Carvalho says he is very happy to be a Nottingham Forest player as he continues his fight back to full fitness.
The 22-year-old has been brushing up on his English since arriving in the East Midlands in 2018 and in his first interview with the club since becoming the club's record signing has thanked fans for their support during his time on the sidelines.
And the Portuguese Under-21s star, who has not travelled with his country for their clashes with Gibraltar and Belarus, has been making the most of the international break to continue his belated pre-season schedule that he hopes will see him make a permanent return to Sabri Lamouchi's first team squad as soon as possible.
"The supporters are amazing and they are supporting me every day," said Carvalho.
"I do better when they are supporting me. I can do better things.
"It is good for me and good for the club that the supporters are enjoying my football.
"I am really very happy to be here."
