Joao Carvalho could be followed out of Nottingham Forest exit door by compatriots

Carvalho leaves for Spanish second division

Nottingham Forest midfielder Joao Carvalho has left the City Ground for Almeria.

The £13million signing has linked up with the Spanish second division side on a season-long loan deal.

A brief statement issued by the Reds said: “Nottingham Forest can confirm that Joao Carvalho has joined Spanish Second Division side Almeria on a season-long loan deal.

“The club would like to wish Joao the best of luck for the 2020-21 season.”

Forest exit looms for Silva

Tiago Silva's exit from Nottingham Forest is expected to be confirmed this week, with the midfielder set to wrap up a move to Olympiakos.

According to reports in Greece, the Portuguese playmaker is expected to arrive in Athens in the next 48 hours as he closes in on his departure from the City Ground.

But Sportime say PAE and Forest are yet to strike an agreement despite both of them being owned by Evangelos Marinakis.

Reports last week stated that Silva was due to join Olympiakos on a free transfer with Cafu heading the other way.

Reds defender weighing up options

Nottingham Forest defender Tobias Figueiredo could be set to leave Nottingham Forest because he fancies a return to Portugal, according to reports.

The Athletic say the Reds centre-back is reportedly keen on the idea of returning to his homeland for non-footballing reasons.

Figueiredo did not feature in their game against Huddersfield on Friday as the Reds were beaten again in what has been a disastrous start to the campaign under boss Sabri Lamouchi.

The Athletic say he is one of the "more likely" departures from the City Ground this summer with the club needing to trim their squad size down after a hectic summer transfer window.

Burnley go cool on Worrall

Burnley’s interest in Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has reportedly cooled.

The Premier League club are long-term admirers of the centre-back and have reportedly had bids for the academy product knocked back.

But according to The Athletic, any move for Worrall is on the backburner as manager Sean Dyche assesses his options.

The Clarets’ search for a defender would intensify if they cannot hold on to England international James Tarkowski.
