Joanna Jedrzejczyk shares facial injury damage one week on from Zhang Weili defeat

UFC fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk has shared images of her horrific facial injuries seven days after she suffered a haematoma in her fight with Zhang Weili.

The Polish star went down in a bout that has been called the greatest women's fight in UFC history.

Weili won the fight via a split decision but Jedrzejczyk certainly has the scars to show for her efforts.

Even after a week she still has severe bruising to her face and chest and took to Instagram to post a message.

She said: "I still have so many bruises on my face and my chest.

"The swelling has gone down and I'm feeling better so it's all good."

Following the fight Jedrzejczyk was rushed to hospital but sustained no serious injuries, although she is set to undergo plastic surgery back in her homeland.

“My whole face is bruised but … there’s no more swelling on my head,” she said on Friday.

“It’s more on my face, and like my neck. It’s going down, but it’s much better.

“I scheduled surgery in Poland with the best plastic surgeon, so it’s all good.

“On Monday, I’ll have a small medical procedure on my ear and the swelling will go down and I will be ready to rock and roll.”

Despite the defeat and the horrific injuries that she sustained Jedrzejczyk is willing to go up against Weili for a second.

“I want to fight the best, if it’s the next step, yes … of course, why not?” she claimed.

“Let’s rock and roll again. Let’s dance again, fight for the belt.

“I’m not sad. I’m not happy. I’m just resting, recovering my body, and I cut myself a little bit from the media, from what’s going on around, and I feel good.”
