Jo Good takes on the £20 outfit challenge on This Morning - don't miss the £5 Zara blouse that's perfect for autumn

Jo Good on This Morning.

Jo Good faced the 'fashion budget challenge' on This Morning this week, and was tasked with pulling together three entire outfits for just £20, £40 and £60. That means not only did we get to see a range of high street buys that promise to make light work of dressing for the upcoming transitional weather, but we also got a round-up of absolute bargain buys.

Before we dig into what she found, there’s her own outfit to delight in. As This Morning presenter Angela Scanlon pointed out, Jo’s blend of a white tuxedo shirt and Wyse London red tracksuit bottoms proves that tailoring and tracksuits, while an unlikely pairing, actually go hand in hand for an elevated everyday look. Her chunky-soled loafers were the perfect addition to tie together both the laidback and dressed-up elements of her outfit.

Making the most of late summer sales, Jo found items with discounts of up 80% off. From the on-trend Zara striped shirt with ruffles that comes in at just £5, to a more elevated evening style in the form of H&M’s draped cut-out dress, this is budget-friendly shopping at its best.

These certainly aren't your average joggers. They strike the perfect balance between style and comfort, plus the stripe detailing adds a sporty edge. They're available in two lengths and look amazing with leopard print.

Like Jo's tuxedo shirt, this one offers a more suited-and-booted style than your usual white shirt. Thoughtfully placed darts, gathering and pleats lend it a sculpted feel. For an unfussy feel against trousers, it has a gently cropped shape.

The chunky soles of Jo's loafers were the star of the show when it came to her footwear, and when it comes to recreating her look, this is a great option. The cream upper makes them super versatile, while the statement sole offers extra height as well as a statement look.

As well as the rich chocolate brown hue, I also love the on-trend ruffle design of this shirt, which leans into the 2026 autumn trends. Dress it up or down, for everyday or office wear.

The barrel-leg jeans Jo included in her round-up are currently sold out, but this pair from M&S offer a very similar look for just £30. Choose from extra-short to extra-long leg lengths and, if ecru denim isn't your bag, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to other colours.

One of Jo's outfits featured some slingback ballet pumps, which look so similar to this New Look pair. With their dark brown hue and faux-suede fabric, they're perfect for adding contrasting texture to denim jeans.

Like Jo, we cannot believe this stunning dress costs less than £20! With a high cowl neckline, cut-out shoulder and gathered seams that create a draped effect, it's a piece that looks much more expensive than it really is. The fitted shape is universally flattering, so it's well worth a try.

Jo styled these New Look heels with the H&M draped dress for a striking evening look, but they're not a shoe that should just be reserved for occasion-ready styling. Use them to elevate your favourite jeans and a nice top combination.

Jo accessorised the long H&M dress with a duo of resin bracelets that beautifully complemented its dark brown texture. The fluid design of this bracelet makes it a really striking accessory to wear with darker browns.

Talking about the £5 Zara shirt, Jo said, “These blouses are everywhere at the moment because they’re a touch of western.” It’s the ruffled detail that solidifies it as a staple of the aesthetic, while its soft tailoring and versatile brown, pinstriped hue wins it bonus points for easy styling. Jo paired it with some creamy beige, barrel-leg jeans, and she recommends finishing off the outfit with some ankle or cowboy boots for an effortless addition to your autumn outfit ideas.

The look that Jo called the ‘pièce de résistance’ of her round-up is one that can work for a variety of dressed-up occasions, whether it's for date night outfits or evenings out on the town. The H&M dress that she showcased is truly stunning, with gathering around the waist softening the figure-hugging silhouette for a flattering finish against the curve-accentuating style.

She pointed out that it’s made from a ‘soft jersey fabric’ so it not only hugs curves and looks great but is also comfortable and allows for ease of movement.
