Jo Caulfield

A few months ago, assuming Jo Caulfield is less of a liar than most comedians, Radio 4 commissioned another series of her show It's That Jo Caulfield Again. There was a catch, however: they needed to know who her audience were. Rich? Poor? On the way up? Down and out?

This live show, Who Are You?, is her response. There are questions to answer as we queue to go in, and more as we sit in the dark, hoping she won't single us out. Do we own our homes? Where? Are we in full-time employment? What sort? What annoys us? Do we think we're normal? Really normal? What on earth possessed us to become a tax inspector? Do we regret wearing that top with those boots? Do we realise what a slut we look?

There's not quite enough in this to fill an hour-long show, even padded out with the results of surveys beyond the Pleasance. Fortunately, the demure-looking Caulfield has plenty of stories about her own life, as well as obscene jokes about the likes of Abi Titmuss, Richard and Judy and Girls Aloud. Do they make us laugh like a drain? Oh yes. Can we repeat them? If only.
