Jo Brand torched rich ex's pants after breaking into house through dog flap

Jo Brand had the last laugh on an ex – by torching his pants.

The comedian revealed how she stole all his underwear and put them on a bonfire.

She said: “I went out with this guy who was a millionaire who treated me really badly so I broke into his house while he was on holiday, through the dog flap, would you believe.

"I stole all his pants and I burnt them in his garden on a bonfire.”

Speaking to comics Rob Beckett, 34, and Josh Widdicombe, 37, on their Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast, she added: “A dramatic statement really”.

Jo, 63, said her wild past meant that she could not be too hard on daughters Maisie, 19, and Eliza, 17.

“They’ve never done anything as bad as I did as a teenager,” she said.

“I took every drug under the sun.

“I used to do stupid things like hitchhike a lot on my own which people never do now.”

Last June Jo was forced to apologise for a joke where she suggested thugs should throw car battery acid over political figures instead of milkshake - referencing an incident involving Nigel Farage.

Brand addressed the furore during an appearance in Henley.

According to  The Sun, she said: “Looking back it probably was somewhat a crass and ill-judged joke that might upset people.

"Of course I’d never do anything like that. It was purely a fantasy. I’m sorry. I’m a human, I make mistakes.”

However, she reportedly added: "I don’t think it’s a mistake. If you think it is I’m happy to accept that.”
