JK Rowling stuns with completely new look and gorgeous hair transformation

Harry Potter author JK Rowling stunned on the red carpet with her new glamorous and very youthful look.

The writer, 54, looked absolutely incredible as she attended the premiere of HBO documentary Finding The Way Home on Wednesday night.

The glam author debuted her new auburn locks and showed off her glowing skin as she posed up at the event in New York.

Perhaps taking some style inspo from her flame-haired characters the Weasleys, JK stunned as she hit the red carpet alongside Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne, who narrates the documentary.

The author has had more of a blonde do in recent years, and tended to opt for a more muted and natural make up look.

But last night, she left mouths agape as she stepped out with coppery red locks and dramatic eye make up, as well as a bold slick of red lipstick.

JK's taut skin and flawless complexion made her look much younger than her years.

Her stunning make up perfectly accentuated her natural beauty.

Her narrator Eddie, who plays Newt Scamander in the spin-off film series, dressed up in a green corduroy suit with a white shirt and green tie.

They both beamed proud smiles as they stood side by side.

Finding The Way Home is inspired by JK's foundation Lumos, which seeks to end the institutionalisation of children all around the world.

It tells the story of eight children from different countries who have been reunited with family members or placed into loving foster homes after experiencing the trauma of institutionalisation.

The film aims to raise awareness of what life is like for the estimated eight million children across the globe who are living in orphanages and other insitutions.
