JK Rowling: a question of identity – books podcast

John Crace's satirical Digested read columns have become a Guardian institution, reducing the most newsworthy books of the year to an essential 600 words.

Here, he takes on The Cuckoo's Calling, originally published as the first crime novel from a writer called Robert Galbraith, but later to revealed to be by none of other than JK Rowling.

Crace explains why Rowling has some way to go until her crime fiction rises to the heights of Harry Potter, and analyses some of her incriminating tics.
