JJ Chalmers showcases aftermath of Strictly tan but his rock-hard abs steal the show

JJ Chalmers sent pulses racing with his latest Instagram offering.

The former Royal Marine showcased his patchy tan following his stint on Strictly Come Dancing, however fans found it hard to notice anything other than his rock-hard abs.

Taking to Instagram, the 33-year-old posted a topless snap of himself wearing just swim trunks.

"My #Strictly Tan is just about still hanging on... should have had my legs sprayed too tho," he wrote.

Naturally, the snap saw fans flock to the comments section to compliment the BBC presenter on his outstanding physique.

"Oh wow, it's Christmas indeed..." wrote one fan.

JJ recently opened up about the devastating injuries he suffered while he was serving in Afghanistan, which he once feared would mean he'd never walk again.

In recent weeks, one of the pieces of shrapnel which remains in his leg after the explosion has caused his leg to become inflamed, meaning he was in constant agony when dancing with professional partner, Amy Dowden.

But, determined to finish off his Strictly journey the right way, JJ decided to delay the surgery to address the issue until the start of next year.

Speaking about his decision to wait, he told the Sun: "As far as my surgeon’s concerned, this thing needs to get taken out of my leg."

"If we’d had the time, it would’ve been done by now, especially when it first flared up. But this is the situation. Life gets in the way, and that’s a great thing," he added.

However, he's not daunted by the prospect of going under the knife, adding: "Since 2014, I’ve not gone a year without a surgery, so it’s a pretty routine thing for me, unfortunately. But, as I say, I’m not going to let it slow me down."
