JJ Chalmers has been confirmed on the line up for Strictly Come Dancing this year, Lorraine Kelly has announced.
The Scottish TV presenter and Invictus Games medallist is a a former Royal Marine Commando.
He was wounded in a bomb explosion in 2011 while serving in Afghanistan, suffering facial injuries, losing two fingers and his right elbow disintegrated.
JJ, 33, told Lorraine he wanted to be treated the same as everybody else and did not want any "special treatment".
"It's all just become very real! The music, the unveil, the fact I can tell someone who isn't my mum and dad, basically," JJ told Lorraine.
"I am always looking for a challenge, always look to push outside my comfort zone, and if I wanted to find a challenge in life like climbing Everest or the North Pole, of course those things would be difficult but they would be within my comfort zone because they are the kind of thing I am used to having to do. in my life.
"This is completely off the chart, so it's going to be a huge challenge, I am really looking forward to learning something brand new."

JJ explained he had been in touch with his physician and other medical professionals to devise a plan for him to safely take part in the physically gruelling show.
"Whoever I am partnered with, they are going to have their work cut out essentially," he said.
"We will figure it out, but on the flip side, looking at myself on telly now, I can tell I have terrible posture and that's because of my injuries, I have to work around them.
"So the idea this might improve my rehab and continue my levels of fitness, that is going to make a huge difference to me."
He added: "I don't want special treatment, but we are going to have to level the playing field, so it's fair."
He added: "Ive been in touch with my old surgeon, my physios, we've put together a team that is going to hold me together."

JJ is married to Kornelia Chitursko and they share a daughter called Hayley.
Asked if his pal Prince Harry would be watching, JJ said he might well as he tends to support his Invictus friends, but added Harry might not get BBC iPlayer in LA.
