Jingle All the Way child star Jake Lloyd has change a lot in the 25 years since the release of the film.
Jake, who is now 32, has since quit acting due to being bullied by classmates and now seems to live more of a regular life.
In the hit film, Jake played the part of Jamie Langston who was the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger's character Howard Langston.
Howard is left worried on Christmas Eve as she sets out to try and find a Turbo Man action figure for his son's Christmas gift.
However, Jake now keeps as far away from acting as he can, even having a run in with the law in the meantime.
But once his first major film finished filming, he moved on to play the young Anakin Skywalker in George Lucas’ 1999 film, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
This cemented that he didn't want to pursue acting for his adult future as he was bullied for appearing in the popular film franchise.
It seems that Jake found the pressure of fame too stressful as he needed to do up to 60 interviews a day.
He was also bullied by his classmates, especially for being in Star Wars.
After officially finishing acting in 2001, he told The Daily Beast at the time: "I’ve learned to hate it when the cameras are pointed at me. When you have something like that there’s a lot of expectations for it to meet the standards of the public and I don’t think George [Lucas] did that."
Despite appearing at some comic book festivals, he's stuck to his promise of not returning to the film world.
In 2015, Jake arrested for reckless driving, driving without a licence and resisting arrest in his hometown.
It was reported that the police pursued Jake for 40km after failing to stop for a red light in Charleston, South Carolina.
He then lost control of the car and drove through a fence.
Jake's mum said her son had schizophrenia and didn't take his medication properly which caused the crash.
He went to prison for ten months and was then taken to a psychiatric unit in April 2016.
The star's sister tragically died in her sleep in 2018 aged just 26.
This took a hit on Jake's mental health as his mum Lisa issued an update on him in 2020.
She said: "We would like to thank everyone for their kind words, their support, and goodwill. Jake has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, but unfortunately he also has a symptom called anosognosia which causes a lack of insight into his illness."
Lisa mentioned that this adds to the struggles he's going through.
She added: "He has moved closer to his family and we are all working hard to help him with this. He is still a kind and caring person and we hope to have him back to his fun and entertaining self as soon as possible.
"Jake will continue to make progress with the love and support you continue to show."
