Thelin has been taken aback as he explained: “It has been unbelievable, it was much, much bigger than I thought.
“We spoke about team spirit the whole season and why we do it, for them, to be proud of and everyone in the city, who belongs to the city and supports Aberdeen FC.
“It has been an amazing couple of days and it will take a while to sink in.
"It is amazing. It belongs to them and we are here to do everything we can do to put a smile on their face.
“When we travelled around the city on the bus it was unbelievable how many people were there, I didn’t expect that.
“It is so difficult just now because we have so many emotions.
“You can imagine what will happen but it is much, much bigger than that. I almost couldn’t believe it.
“I am so happy for the people and all the effort they did for us now the whole season, travelling.
“Now we can celebrate together and it is amazing.”
