Jimmy Magee's iconic commentary for Diego Maradona's famous goal at 1986 World Cup

Known in football folklore as the 'Goal of the Century', it's arguably Diego Maradona's greatest moment on the pitch.

Four minutes after scoring the 'Hand of God' goal against England in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final, Maradona's wonderful solo effort proved the winner for Argentina on their way to winning the tournament.

In 10 seconds that time stood still, Maradona rounded four English defenders in a 60-yard dash to goal from his own half before finishing past goalkeeper Peter Shilton.

With the entire world watching, it became a defining moment for the Argentine magician, who sadly passed away aged 60 yesterday.

And Irish fans were among those to watch it live, called by the legendary commentator Jimmy Magee on RTE.

In just four words, Magee created a lasting piece of football commentary to this day as he marvelled in Maradona's genius.

"Different class," Magee uttered as he evaded an English challenge ten yards from the edge of the square.

And as Maradona pushed it past Shilton and pulled the trigger, Magee shouted that exact same phrase, "Different class!".

A call worthy of such a goal, Irish fans have treasured the clip for over 30 years, and here's a video of the original commentary:
