The 2019 NBA Finals officially tipped off on Thursday and that means Jimmy Kimmel’s NBA Game Nights are back on ABC.
Kimmel had Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston on his show on Thursday night, but before he sat down for a chat with the two Hollywood superstars, he did a light-hearted segment where he counted down the five worst tattoos in NBA history.
While there were a number of worthy contenders like John Wall’s No. 5 tattoo in his armpit and Derrick Rose’s Houdini shoulder tattoo, Lonzo Ball took the crown for the league’s worst tattoo for his “Born 2 Ball” forearm tattoo. Here’s what Kimmel had to say about his decision:
The award for worst ink in the NBA goes to Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball, who had the good sense to have “Born 2 Ball” written on the fore of his arm. I like to imagine how that went down at the shop:
“What do you want on the arm?”
“I’d like you to write ‘Born 2 Ball’ with the No. 2.”
“No, really, what do you want on the arm? Maybe like a wolf?”
“Born 2 Ball would be good.”
Congratulations, Lonzo: You are No. 1.
It’s harder to see that specific tattoo now that Ball has a full sleeve, and with all due respect to the artist that did it, it’s probably for the best.
