Jimmy Kimmel is the latest celebrity to mock Donald Trump for his refusal to concede the election.

Joe Biden was declared the winner of the US presidential election on Saturday (7 November) after he won Pennsylvania and surpassed the required 270 electoral college votes.

Following the announcement, however, the current president issued a statement refusing to accept the results of the election. He has also taken to Twitter to claim voter fraud in an attempt to get Biden’s victory thrown out.

During Tuesday’s (11 November) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host roasted Trump in his opening monologue. He joked: “The Potus refuses to go-tus."

Referring to the president’s former profession as host of The Apprentice, Kimmel said: “We have a reality show host who will not accept reality.”

The presenter went on to compare Trump’s behaviour with other Republican figures, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Lindsey Graham who are supporting the president’s claims.

“I’m less disgusted with our toddler in chief throwing his oatmeal at the wall than I am with the Republican Congresspeople who are going along with this,” he said.

The incumbent president continues to speak out against the election results daily on his Twitter page. Today (11 November), Trump wrote: “People will not accept this Rigged Election!”

On Monday (9 November), Stephen King hit out at Trump’s refusal to accept Biden’s victory. The acclaimed author wrote in a Twitter post: “You lost, you miserable self-entitled infantile f***er. Concede and get the hell out.”
