Jimmy Kimmel, the 56-year-old television host, has hinted at the possibility of leaving his hosting role on Jimmy Kimmel Live once his current contract with ABC expires. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Kimmel revealed that he believes his current contract may be his last, although he acknowledged that he has made similar statements in the past that did not come to fruition.

With over two years remaining on his contract, Kimmel expressed contentment with the timeline, stating, 'That seems like enough.' He disclosed that thoughts of leaving had crossed his mind previously, including during the preparation for his hosting duties at the Academy Awards earlier this year.

Despite occasional fatigue and moments of yearning for a break, Kimmel admitted to experiencing a back-and-forth dynamic regarding his future plans. He humorously speculated about potential retirement activities, such as learning Italian, playing the harmonica, and engaging in fly-fishing.

Reflecting on his post-hosting aspirations, Kimmel mentioned a variety of interests he would like to pursue, including cooking, drawing, and sculpting. He emphasized a desire to accomplish personal goals and engage in hobbies that bring him fulfillment.

While uncertain about his exact post-retirement plans, Kimmel expressed a sense of urgency to explore various interests and activities. He acknowledged the inevitability of unfulfilled aspirations but remained optimistic about the possibilities that lie ahead.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! currently airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC, and Kimmel's potential departure from the show has sparked speculation about his future endeavors.
