Former striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Leeds United frontman Patrick Bamford needs to cap off his hard work with more goals.
Bamford has made 36 league appearances for Leeds so far this season and with Jean-Kevin Augustin still out, he will continue to lead the line, starting against Cardiff in the Whites' first game back today.
The former Chelsea frontman has scored 13 times this season but he only scored one in eight games before the coronavirus break, and former Leeds striker Hasselbaink believes he needs to add more goals to his game to go with his high work rate.
"He has been valued really highly by Bielsa because the team plays better with him because of his runs and the openings he makes," he said on Sky Sports.
"On the whole, as a team, it works but he needed a lot of chances to score goals and with all the work that he does, he needs to give himself a little bit of chocolate, as I used to tell my players.
"It’s putting the ball in the net, give yourself a little present. He has been struggling a little bit. He needs a goal.
"When he scores, you will see that other goals will follow."
Bamford has been at Elland Road since 2018 when he arrived from Middlesbrough ona deal worth around £7m.
Since his move, the 26-year-old has scored 22 times in 58 league appearances.
