Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink sends Gabriel Jesus warning to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta

Gabriel Jesus' start to life at Arsenal couldn't have gone any better. The forward has scored three goals and claimed three assists in his first five appearances for the Gunners.

The Brazilian has been one of the key factors behind Arsenal's perfect start to the new Premier League season, with Jesus looking a smart summer pick-up from Manchester City.

However, former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is not convinced that Jesus is the 20-goal striker Arsenal need. The most goals Jesus has scored in a Premier League season is 14 in the 2019/20 season, although he only played just over 2,000 minutes in that particular campaign.

"He’s come in [and scored] three goals, made chances, made others around him play better," Hasselbaink said on Sky Sports.

"I’m still not convinced he will be 20 goals a season because if he was that then why did he not do that at Man City in a better team? I think he had enough opportunities [at Man City to score 20+]. He is not somebody that scores goals out and out and out.

"He’s somebody that loves scoring goals and likes to link up, he’s been brilliant at it, very strong, holding the ball up. He’s got three goals in five matches - which is brilliant - but you expect him to score more goals. He’s a great signing."
