Jimmy Fallon tells Chris Paul he can co-host Tonight Show if traded to Knicks

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday to talk about his efforts in helping put the NBA bubble together and starting the Social Change Fund with other athletes.

They also talked about a rumor that former President Barack Obama once crossed Paul over.

Fallon couldn’t help but also asking him about trade rumors for next season. While Paul played it cool and said that, entering his 16th season, he’s not paying attention because over the years, he’s “heard about every rumor you could possibly hear.”

“You learn to control what you can control,” Paul said. “If something happens, it will. If not, I love being in Oklahoma with our team.”

Fallon wasn’t done though. He pushed Paul on going to the New York Knicks, and gave him a pitch that even team owner James Dolan wouldn’t be able to ensure the point guard.

“If you come even close to the Knicks, I want you to co-host the Tonight Show with me,” Fallon said, to which Paul laughed at.

Paul does not have full control over his future, but he does have some sway in where Oklahoma City sends him. The Thunder have earned a reputation in sending players where they want to be, thanks to the Paul George and Russell Westbrook trades, and Paul would fall along that same spectrum of star requests.

Fallon may not be serious in his co-host proposal, but if the deciding factor in Paul wanting to go to the Knicks is the stipulation that he appears on the show … well, don’t think that Fallon, a Knicks fan, would hesitate to let him on.
