Jimmy Fallon has maintained his infectious positivity throughout lockdown as he broadcasts his show from his home.
If any fans were worried The Jimmy Fallon Show would be any less outrageous than it usually is, they can rest easy after Jimmy channelled the Tiger King himself, Joe Exotic...by way of Nicolas Cage.
Hollywood veteran Nicolas was recently announced as the part of Joe in an upcoming Tiger King mini-series.
Jimmy introduced "Nicolas", only for the camera to cut to Jimmy emerging in one of Joe's signature colourful shirts, tucked in and unbuttoned to the navel, as well as a fake moustache and a blonde mullet wig.
Putting on an uncanny impression of Nicolas' husky voice and trademark intensity, Jimmy limps about on a walking stick making grand claims about the tigers he keeps, his several husbands, and even levels accusations at Joe's nemesis, Carole Baskin.
Sitting at his computer, Jimmy-Nicolas-Joe says: "Tonight's show goes out to Carole Baskin!
"You think you're better than me because you own a tiger rescue? And I run a sketchy zoo that's running out of meat?"
He adds, trying to suppress a smile: "The tiger is fascinating creature, with the essence and soul of a cave man in the wild!
"Does that make any sense at all?"
Referring to Joe's polygamy with two men, with is explored in the Netflix hit, Jimmy yells: "What am I doing?!
"I'm marrying two men at once. Not only am I the Tiger King, but I'm also the King of Husbands!"
Addressing Carole again, he asks: "Carole Baskin. Have you ever met a guy quite as amazing as me, Joe Exotic?"
He rounds off the sketch by riffing on one of Joe's music videos.
"I looked at a tiger," he sings, "The tiger looked right back, made me cry tears that were white, orange and black."
