Jimmy Choo create smart winter boots controlled by an app on your phone

Wearable tech has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, but smart clothing has yet to become a wardrobe staple for most people.

That may be all about the change. Luxury shoe brand Jimmy Choo has created an innovative new line of smart shoes.

The Voyager Boot, for both men and women, uses technology to seamlessly incorporate heated soles into the silhouette, making sure your feet stay warm and toasty all winter long.

The heated in-soles are cleverly controlled wirelessly by a bespoke Jimmy Choo app on your phone which controls each sole, allowing you to set the temperature between 25°C and 45°C.

As well as monitoring the heat function, which can last up to eight hours, the app also tracks your steps, making your Fitbit redundant.

The lace-up boots are charged via a USB port hidden beneath a hand-tooled collar.

Also water resistant, the sturdy boots feature a cosy shearling lining and come in classic colourways like white, black and navy.

Retailing between £1,250 and £1,295, they're certainly an investment, but you're guaranteed to never have numb tootsies again.
