Jimmy Carter released from hospital after being treated for infection

Former President Jimmy Carter was released from the hospital on Wednesday after being treated over the weekend for a urinary tract infection, according to the a press release put out by the Carter Center.

The big picture: Carter, the oldest living president, has been in and out of the hospital several times in recent months. He underwent brain surgery in November and suffered a pelvic fracture in October.
