Jimmy Carr leaves Sunday Brunch fans in disbelief as he appears without a suit

An "angry" Jimmy Carr has shocked his fans after appearing on Sunday Brunch minus his trademark suit.

The comedian ditched his usual appearance and lacked makeup for the Sunday morning show.

Instead, he wore a dark t-shirt with a large white collar and thick white trims on the sleeves.

And Jimmy, 48, blamed his casual appearance on his latest hangover.

Speaking to the show's hosts, Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, the comic said: "There's no makeup artist and I'm hungover right now if I'm honest with you but I think that's all the guests feel."

Tim quipped that the guest still looked "gorgeous" and joked that makeup wasn't allowed because of the pandemic.

The 8 Out Of 10 Cats host wasn't buying the excuse, though. "How are we not allowed makeup - the makeup people need to eat too," he snapped.

"They need their jobs back. You've got the camera people.

"They can be replaced by machines and you know it."

Jimmy was appearing on the show to discuss his BBC One programme I Can See Your Voice.

But he admits he wasn't 100% because the lifting of lockdown had made him a bit worse for wear.

He continued: "I'm a little bit hungover yeah just because it was the first Saturday you could actually go out and book a restaurant and when you eat outside in a restaurant garden it's a little bit chilly so I went onto spirits way too early."

And fans were quick to comment on his "new" look too.

Taking to social media, one said: "Jimmy Carr looking like a human being and not an android for a change I can't believe it."

Another jokingly commented: "Jimmy Carr hanging like a bat with no makeup on is making my morning."

A lack of suit and no makeup wasn't the only image change on show for the stand-up either.

Last summer saw the comedian update his signature locks with a hair transplant.

He also had his teeth fixed and underwent Botox treatment while regularly exercising and taking protein pills and vitamins.
