Jimmy Carr leaves Laura Tobin doubled over with laughter with brutally honest weather report on ITV Good Morning Britain

Comedian Jimmy Carr has left Good Morning Britain viewers in hysterics as he replaced Laura Tobin to do a weather report on the show.

In true Jimmy Carr fashion, he gave a brutally honest take on the weather - leaving Laura and viewers hunched over with laughter as a result.

The 8 Out of 10 Cats host was more than excited to skip across the studio from his interview with Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell to take some quick pointers from Laura before being thrown into the segment.

You can see the best bits from his weather report in the video above.

"Hi, I'm Jimmy! I'm doing the weather - I'm pretty thrilled with this if I'm honest with you.", grinned Jimmy as Laura hurried him along.

To begin with, Jimmy was trying to do a professional job - before his sense of humour took over,

"Yeah, Northumberland is... er yeah... it's gonna rain... I mean, of course it's gonna rain! Look at all those places, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Durham...", said Jimmy, raising his arms in the air: "Of course it's going to rain!"

"Click, click!" said Laura, trying to keep him on schedule.

"Alright, I'm trying to click!", replied Jimmy as he carried on.

The next scene showed the isobar map, something Jimmy was keen to joke about: "This doesn't mean anything - the wind doesn't actually look like that because it doesn't have lines in it - so doesn't really tell you anything - there's some water, blue represents water, so the sea will be very wet."

With Laura and Alastair heard giggling in the background, Jimmy moved onto the summary: "Sunny spells, rain in the north west... there's always rain in the north west!

"If you live in the north west, you knew that was going to happen!", said Jimmy, pointing at the camera.

The GMB camera operator cut to Laura Tobin, who was off stage, hunched over in laughter.

"It's breezy in east... breezy in east?", continued Jimmy.

"Well, presumably if the winds blowing that will blow over to the west as well? It's gotta go somewhere!", he added as Alastair cackled from the newsdesk.

The next scene showed a map of the UK with rain scheduled for Norfolk, leaving Jimmy primed and ready for a joke: "Look at that, there's just one little bit of Norfolk that is awful.

"I could have told you that without looking at the map!", quipped Jimmy, leaving the whole studio in hysterics.

Viewers on Twitter were also in tears on their sofas at home, with many keen to comment on Jimmy's stellar take on the weather.

@stevefletch tweeted: " @jimmycarr you should do the weather everyday mate. Classic. Should have done the news as well."
