Jimmy Carr felt bad after watching a contestant on his quiz show miss out so he awarded the player £18,000 of his own money.
The comedian felt Sainsbury's worker Eddy, from Glasgow, was robbed after taking on I Literally Just Told You when an epic blunder left him unable to answer one of the questions.
Jimmy owned up to the blunder at one of his gigs, where he wanted to make things right again.

The game sees answers given to contestants throughout the show, so as long as they've been paying attention and they have a good enough memory, they should have no problem taking home a cash prize.
But when Eddy was asked Ariana Grande's age and couldn't answer, he lost the £18,000 jackpot and was sent home empty handed.
It turned out though that while they'd talked about Ariana's age, they hadn't actually given Eddy a specific number.
To rectify the mistake, Jimmy invited Eddy to one of his gigs, where he brought him on stage to present him with a cheque for £18,000.
He admitted, in front of a full audience: "Now I've got something to tell you, I've got something to confess.
"We talked about her age but we never gave you the specific age so we messed up.
"And when you mess up in life, you've got to own your mistakes. Here's a cheque for £18,000."
Eddy was over the moon and in disbelief exclaimed: "Oh my God, what?!"
