Jimmer Fredette’s Summer League with the Warriors has come to an end

After today’s action in the California Classic, the Golden State Warriors’ Summer League team rolls on to Las Vegas and Jimmer Fredette will not be with the team.

According to The Mercury News‘ Mark Medina, “Fredette left the Warriors’ Summer League.” Medina did not specify whether Fredette foresaw that he would not have many opportunities with the team and left on his own volition or if the team cut him, but added: It’s “[u]nclear what’s next for him, but could be evaluating other options.”

Fredette was a college star picked 10th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft but flamed out in the league. He became an international basketball journeyman, playing for five NBA teams throughout his career as well as for teams overseas.

Most recently, Fredette was the star player for the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association. The player the Shanghai fans call “lonely god” put up 75 points in a game last season. But it turns out that an insane scoring outing overseas does not earn a player NBA credibility.

In two California Classic outings, Fredette came off the bench and averaged 16 minutes, 9.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He finished with an average plus/minus of -10.5.
