Fran Sheridan, the wife of iconic director Jim, has passed away.
She died suddenly at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin on Wednesday.
The couple have three daughters - Naomi, Kirsten and Tess - as well as three grandchildren.
It is understood that the family will have a private funeral service on Monday.
A notice on RIP.ie reads: "Fran Sheridan (née Roe), Ballsbridge, Dublin, (late of Drumcondra), October 20, 2021. Suddenly, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
"Daughter of the late George and Tess and sister of the late Nicky.
"Sadly missed by her best friend and husband Jim, and the three girls Naomi, Kirsten and Tess, grandchildren Leo, Seamus and Frankie, and the cat Ash, brothers Kevin, Vinnie and Aidan, sister Bernadette, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and a large circle of friends."
The couple moved to New York in 1981 with their first-born daughters Naoimi and Kirsten. The family moved back to Dublin several years later.
