Jim Schwartz on his confidence in Nate Gerry as a starting LB after Grugier-Hill’s injury

The NFL is the next man up league, so with Kamu Grugier-Hill scheduled to be sidelined for several weeks with a knee injury, now is the time for Nate Gerry to show his potential. The talented linebacker bulked this offseason in hopes of landing a spot in the starting rotation.

Gerry can now go from reserve to starter and if he plays, he could end up keeping the job. Eagles defensive coordinator addressed the media before the team’s open practice and gushed about his confidence in Gerry being able to make plays as a starter in his defense.
