Jim Schwartz gives the Eagles linebacker corps a vote of confidence

During the Eagles 37-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, the Philadelphia defense was confused and gashed over and over by Sean McVay’s constant motion and misdirection. Left in the aftermath was Nate Gerry missing tackles or Eagles defenders chasing behind Rams offensive stars scurrying towards the end zone.

On Tuesday, Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz took the blame, suggesting that his game plan was the cause of the debacle.

When getting specific, especially about his underperforming linebacker corps, Schwartz again took the fall, stating that he didn’t put them in a good enough position.

During Tuesday’s zoom meeting, Schwartz talked about a more complex game plan, but if Gerry and company struggled with a “simpler” gameplan, what was a more complex and more difficult gameplan going to help?
