Saints boss Jim Goodwin is delighted his side are beginning to show some consistency after a stuttering start to their Premiership campaign.
The Buddies have hit a rich vein of form in recent weeks, backing up a strong point away at Easter Road against Hibs with consecutive wins against Aberdeen and Livingston.
That trio all finished in the top six last season, and Goodwin is pleased to see St Mirren finally grabbing the points he feels their performances merit.
Goodwin told Express Sport: “I believe we should have two or three extra points on the board for our efforts, as we’ve had a couple of poor decisions which have gone against us recently.
“But we have managed to put a few wins on the board now.
“We’ve won two games back-to-back too, which is a difficult thing to do in this league because every game is so competitive.
“We have a bit of consistency now in our performance levels and there’s still more to come as we have certainly played better than we have shown (against Livingston).
“We stood up to everything Livi had to throw at us and, while they will feel unlucky not to have taken a point, we’re delighted to go into the international break on the back of a win.”
